Centre of Excellence for All Abilities
“If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.”
Indus views individual differences as opportunities for enhancing learning. The school believes that children with varied capacities must have adequate opportunities and facilities for participation in Indus school life and programmes so that, they are able to reach their fullest potential in terms of cognitive, affective, emotional and creative capacity - and become independent lifelong learners.
The school will adopt an inclusive approach to education and ensure appropriate, adequate and challenging personalized curricular and co-curricular programmes. Individual Education Programmes (IEP) will be prepared for students with the help of in-house special educators. The school will make the necessary modifications in content, approaches, strategies and evaluation towards achieving a common objective for all children of the same age in the school. If necessary, the school will also provide alternative programmes for students in consultation with their parents.
Under the guidance of All Abilities Department, the school will prepare multiple intelligence profile for students to identify their unique abilities and interests. The school's Discovery, Virtual, Robotic Laboratories will help students to develop their multiple intelligences, talents and capacities. The school will also provide appropriate career and vocational guidance to students.
